We were looking at condos in Glendale for about the same price but they really wanted some outdoor space for their daughter who was about to turn 1. I offered to search a bit east of downtown and we found this gem of a house on the hill overlooking downtown. It fell out of escrow and I had kept up with the agents and snuck in a backup offer and got it!
